Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at University of California Davis. She was widely credited with establishing the current study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and children as witnesses. Professor Goodman published widely and has won many grants and was awarded many national and international prizes. She has advised numerous authorities and government agencies around all over the world on policy as well as research related to the treatment of child victims of the law by the system. She is consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional associations including those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a member of Psychonomics Society as well as the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She served as the head of the The American Psychological Association's 3 divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child policy and practice.
